Frozen Christmas Dessert – this unique dessert has crunchy base and top and frozen, creamy filling with sprinkles in Christmas colors. A combination of filling made with cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk and whipped cream, with base and top made of graham crackers, simply has to be tried. It is so quick and easy to prepare and the taste is amazing.
First, spray a 9 x 13 inch pan with a non-stick spray and set it aside.
To make a graham cracker base and top - In a medium dish, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar, with a fork, until it´s incorporated and then set aside.
To make the filling - In a large dish beat softened cream cheese with an electric mixer, at medium speed, until it gets smooth, then add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla and beat some more, until it´s combined.
Next, add whipping cream and beat at a low speed first, slowly turning to high speed until soft peaks form. Fold in sprinkles.
Spread ½ of graham cracker crumbs on bottom of the pan and press with your hands or some solid object.
Next, spread the filling over the graham cracker base and top with the rest of the graham cracker crumbs and sprinkles.
Cover the dessert with plastic wrap and leave it in the freezer for at least 4 hours, possibly overnight
Notes
Use cooled whipping cream, so that you can beat it well.
Take the dessert out of freezer 20-30 min before serving, so that it can soften and be easily cut in squares, then put back in the freezer again.
This dessert can be prepared for 4th July or a birthday, just use sprinkles in appropriate colors.
Can I use light cream cheese, instead? Yes, you can.
Can I use whipping toping instead of whipping cream – Yes, you can. A packet of 8 Oz will do.
Do I have to use an electric mixer? Yes, absolutely – if you are using whipping cream. If you choose whipping topping you can beat it with whisk, but it´s going to be difficult to beat it well.
