Jalapeno Poppers – homemade, oven baked jalapeno peppers cut in half and filled with the mixture of cream cheese, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, crunchy bacon and spices make a perfect party appetizer or a snack. Jalapeno poppers can be an appetizer or a snack for holidays, parties, potlucks and Game day, of course.
Preheat the oven to 425 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Put bacon in a skillet and cook it at medium temperature until it becomes crunchy and brown, then transfer it to a plate lined with a paper towel. Once cooled, chop bacon into small pieces. Put one spoonful of bacon pieces aside.
Meanwhile, cut Jalapeno peppers in half and take out the seeds and inner membrane with a spoon. If you prefer really hot flavor, leave some seeds and membrane inside. Place the peppers into a baking sheet and set it aside.
In a medium dish, whisk cream cheese, ground black pepper, garlic powder, salt and paprika, then add mozzarella, cheddar and shredded bacon and mix until it´s well combined.
Finally, spoon the mixture into pepper halves and put a spoonful of shredded bacon on top.
Bake at 425 F for 10-14 minutes and wait for the dish to cool down for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Don´t forget to put your gloves on before cutting the peppers.
You can prepare them a day earlier and keep in a fridge or an airtight container, then bake them before serving.
Baked Jalapeno Poppers can be kept in a fridge or an airtight container for 2-3 days.
