Cranberry Orange Fudge
This homemade Cranberry Orange Fudge made with white chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, dried cranberries, orange zest and orange extract is a quick and easy dessert recipe you have to try for Christmas 2023.
Ingredients
- 18 ounces white chocolate, chopped
- 1 can ( 14 ounces ) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- zest of 3 oranges
- 1 teaspoon orange extract
Instructions
- Line the bottom and sides of an 8X8 inch baking pan with parchment paper; set aside.
- Set aside some cranberries and grated orange zest to sprinkle on top.
- Pour water into a pot and heat on high heat until boiling. In a heatproof bowl ( I used a glass one ) put chopped chocolate, sweetened condensed milk and butter.
- When the water in the pot starts boiling, reduce the heat so that it simmers, place a heatproof bowl over the pot to make a double boiler.
- Make sure that the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch water in the pot, keep the distance of about 2 inches between them. Stir with spatula constantly until the chocolate melts and it becomes completely smooth, about 8 minutes.
- When it's ready, remove from heat and, working quickly, add the dried cranberries, grated orange peel and orange extract and mix until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the already prepared pan, spread evenly and smooth the top. Sprinkle with cranberries and orange peel. Leave in the refrigerator for 6 hours or overnight. Cut into cubes before serving.
